WHAT ARE SAFETY STRAPS?
Safety straps are heavy duty belts that wrap around your hanging backstop or gym equipment to prevent free-falling in the event of a cable or winch failure. Operating as a load arrest mechanism, safety straps automatically lock into place when a malfunction occurs. They are designed to withstand the weight of the equipment as well as the stress of sudden impact.
WHY DO I NEED SAFETY STRAPS?
Disasters happen. A 1,000 pound backstop falling suddenly from 30 feet can be lethal for bystanders. Safety straps ensure that guests are safe from mechanical failure, but they also protect your floor, roof, bleachers, and other equipment from damage as well. No matter how reliable your cables or winches, it simply isn’t worth risking the safety of your participants.
